Est. in 1982. Jazzmin Style was born when designer and founder Janis Kato began developing custom women's lingerie out of a small office in Manhattan Beach. Her college degree in art and fashion illustration inspired her hand-painted activewear pieces at the height of the women's dancewear trend. Her custom apparel business took off and Jazzmin Style was sold in department stores nationwide, including Hawaii. After years of mass production, Jazzmin Style was redirected to small batch production to focus on the personal needs of customers, which included custom design, stylizing, and accessorizing. Janis designs & cuts Jazzmin's original patterns and samples, as well as hand-selecting fabrics with careful thought. She runs her line with women's comfort and confidence in mind. Cutting, sewing, tagging, and finishing touches are all done in-house with love by a small team located in Los Angeles, California.
